We are proud to be a vendor sponsor at this year's Annual Homeward Bound Housing Fair and Networking Event, hosted by Building Neighborhoods Together (BNT) in Bridgeport, Connecticut. If you have never heard of BNT, they are exactly the kind of organization that makes a difference in communities that need it most. Their mission centers on creating pathways to stable, affordable housing for families across our region, and their annual Homeward Bound event brings together housing professionals, mortgage lenders, and community members in one space to connect, learn, and take real steps toward homeownership.

What Is Homeward Bound?

Homeward Bound is a free annual housing fair where attendees can meet real estate and mortgage professionals, learn about homebuyer assistance programs, and ask the questions they may have been sitting on for months. There is no pressure, no sales pitch, just real people having honest conversations about one of life's biggest decisions.

This year's event will be held on Thursday, June 4th from 5:00 to 9:00 PM ET. Admission is free, and yes, there will be pizza and refreshments plus door prizes!

Why We Show Up

The Valerie King Team has been built on the belief that homeownership should be accessible to everyone, not just those who already know how the system works. Events like Homeward Bound do the hard work of closing the information gap. When families can walk into a room, meet a lender face to face, and ask "can I actually do this?", something shifts. That conversation is often the first step toward a signed purchase agreement a few months later.

We also believe in investing in the communities we serve. Bridgeport is home to many of our clients, our referral partners, and our neighbors. Showing up as a sponsor is one small way we can give back to a city that has given so much to so many.
