Where to Celebrate the Fourth of July in Connecticut This Year
Connecticut knows how to do summer right, and the Fourth of July is no exception! Whether you are looking for fireworks over the water, a hometown celebration, or just a good reason to grab a blanket and a cooler, there is something happening close to home. Here are a few celebrations worth marking on your calendar this year.
Bridgeport: Barnum's Skyblast Fireworks at Seaside Park
On June 26, 2026 at Seaside Park, food trucks open at 6 PM, live entertainment starts at 7 PM, and fireworks begin at dusk. This is one of the most beloved summer kickoff events in the region, with fireworks launching over Long Island Sound.
New Haven: Fourth of July Fireworks at East Rock Park
New Haven's Fourth of July fireworks display takes place at East Rock Park starting at 9 PM. The elevated launch point makes for a dramatic show visible across much of the city.
Norwalk: Rowayton Civic Association Fireworks at Bayley Beach
This celebration kicks off at 4:30 PM with fireworks at 9 PM at Bayley Beach. A great option for families who want to make an evening of it on the water.
Weston: Family 4th Celebration at Weston Middle School Field
Gates open at 4:30 PM with fireworks following at 9:20 PM. This one has a classic small-town feel, with patriotic activities for kids and families throughout the evening.
West Haven: Savin Rock Fireworks Spectacular
Music starts at 7 PM with fireworks at 9:15 PM, with a rain date the following evening. Bradley Point Park offers a beautiful shoreline setting for the show.
Wherever you end up watching the sky light up this year, we hope it is a reminder of why so many people fall in love with calling Connecticut home. From the shoreline towns to the quiet neighborhoods further inland, this state has a way of feeling like home no matter which corner of it you are in.
Happy Fourth of July from our team to yours!
